Jusup removed from Zagreb’s bench

In the last hours of year 2007 Zagreb terminated contract with coach Danijel Jusup and put renown expert Zeljko Pavlicevic on the bench. Club’s leaders made this decision after long session following hard-fought win against Dubrava in Kresimir Cosic Cup quarterfinals.

This way Jusup ‘joined’ the club of coaches who lost their jobs after the win. But triumph against Dubrava had a sour taste because Zagreb didn’t look good and was struggling for 38 minutes to finally break visitors’ resistance. Press conference is scheduled for 11:30 hours on Monday and new coach will be presented then. Pavlicevic’s most recent job was coaching Japan national team.
